The Medical Imaging and Data Integration (MIDI) lab in the new Institute for Quantitative Health Science & Engineering at Michigan State University has multiple openings for talented, self-motivated post-doctoral fellows.  Our laboratory offers training and research opportunities in quantitative image analysis, computer-aided diagnosis, physical modeling of medical imaging, and machine learning. 

 

We are looking for talented and motivated professionals to join our team to solve clinically motivated problems related to:

  • Machine learning architecture optimization for detection and image enhancement tasks

  • Supervised and unsupervised learning methodology designed for heterogeneous data.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Motivation to excel in an interdisciplinary research environment

  2. PhD degree in electrical engineering, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, and/or related fields

  3. In-depth knowledge of modern machine learning concepts

  4. Training or background in medical image analysis, digital image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and statistics

  5. Programming experience in Python, Matlab, and/or C++ and experience with high-performance cluster computing

  6. Good communication skills, willingness to collaborate openly, give/take constructive feedback, and sustain a friendly and fun lab culture

Medical Imaging and Data Integration Lab (www.midilab.org): The MIDI Lab is a multidisciplinary team committed to advancing the analysis and integration of medical imaging information and biomedical data for targeted, precise disease treatment. The lab is part of the new Institute for Quantitative Health and Biomedical engineering department.  This is an exciting time of exponential growth in biomedical research and precision health at MSU.
